Abstract:

The polite listener In England stares at the speaker attentively and blinks his eyes occasionally as a sign of interest. That eye-blink says nothing to Americans, who expect the listener to nod or to murmur something such as "mm - hmm”. And in some parts of  Far East, it is impolite to look at the other person at all during conversation. It is often argued that, in teaching foreign languages, culture and language are interwoven in a way that it is not possible to present language without its culture. However, until a new method of teaching language, called communicative approach, which is sociolinguistically oriented, had not come into existence, this belief was not used to be observed in textbooks and language classes. This method intends to create situations in the classroom in which foreign language can be used as naturally and authentically as the native speakers of target language use it for communicative purposes. The problem of teaching culture, nevertheless, does not end here. Nowadays, foreign languages are taught with different and varied objectives. Is it necessary for all foreign language learners to get familiar with the culture of foreign language they are supposed to learn? As Schumann (1984) claims, is it true that second language learning is impossible, unless one gives up his/her own native culture and adopts the culture of foreign language community? What are some relevant issues regarding teaching English in Iran? These are actually some basic questions raised in this article. Whereas definite answers are not necessarily provided in this paper, some areas of research related to culture, and teaching foreign language are put forward.

Abstract:

The role of teaching laboratory course in chemistry education is undeniable. In-person chemistry labs are very interesting and exciting for students, but sometimes this course is offered as non-attendance course. Laboratory course in online or remote learning courses is challenging. Many studies conducted in this field, especially after the outbreak of the COVID-19, have shown that alternative laboratory methods can yield performance results similar to those of a face-to-face laboratory. In this study, methods for teaching laboratory courses of chemistry (face-to-face, virtual, remote control, home study lab kits, and to a lesser extent self-guided field trips) are examined which may contribute to the quality of practical laboratory activities or may serve as a support for online study. Each method has its own strengths and weaknesses and can be used separately or in combination. The selection and integration of these methods, which result from learning outcomes and other factors, is examined as part of the designing process of teaching laboratory course. Finally, laboratory design in the future will definitely include new technologies, and getting acquainted with these technologies can be very useful.

Abstract:

Education must lead to the all-round growth of students. Our focus in this study is to examine active and passive teaching methods and identify the best teaching methods for social studies. The purpose of this study is to gain knowledge and understanding of teaching methods so that teachers can use the best methods with the best efficiency in accordance with the conditions of the class and the classroom. The method used is descriptive-analytical method using library method. In this research, we have introduced some examples of teaching methods and enumerated the benefits of active teaching methods. We have also mentioned the issues facing the educational system in implementing this method and introduced the best methods in the social studies course. The results show that teachers talk more than they act and use dry and stereotyped methods that are derived from the behaviorist school; As a result, they took away the power of analysis from the students. Instead, schools and teachers should use active teaching methods that increase analytical power and pay attention to high levels of learning.

Abstract:

This research was conducted with the aim of "exploring teaching methods in teaching social studies" using the library method. The results showed that the information and abilities of individuals are different, so teaching methods should be used that take into account the individual differences of students. In the meantime, among the school curricula, the "Social Studies" curriculum, according to the structure and concepts of the field, provides rich and abundant opportunities for the development of the required tendencies and skills. To this end, teachers are able to use a variety of methods and provide learning opportunities. They should be able to use learning units with an emphasis on problem-solving skills and environmental capacities of learners in different ways and using Design and develop new methods. They should also have the skills to analyze the curriculum and adapt it to the needs of learners and be able to design effective learning opportunities and help students with a proper knowledge of the social studies curriculum. To gain a basic understanding of scientific concepts, to ask questions, to explore, to argue, to collaborate, to share knowledge, to express opinions, to present content and subject matter in a way that understand different ideas. According the result of this research methods of teaching like role play, scientific tour, question and answer are recommended.

Abstract:

by a total sight we can find out the new education system needs. these needs are going to be more operational as educations and learning these days. to achieve these goals which make students understand better we have to use action base new methods instead of those passive education methods. in this article we have suggested some of these skills and basic techniques, specially in science. for example we can name techniques like: using poster, traffic light system, visualization, peer set question, . . . that i'll explain them widely. We need some backgrounds to do these methods as good as possible; work in a group, be good at writing, have consideration and concentration. Teachers have to help their students to achieve these backgrounds from basic levels; for being more operational. we can not separate these methods completely, and it's better to use them together. so we can improve the students skills in different dimensions.

Abstract:

Introduction: Learning is one of the important psychological processes in which permanent changes in the behavior are brought about.Literature review: there are different kinds of learning strategies which differ in degree of complexity. Simple learning such as verbal information form the building blocks of complicated learning such as problem-solving and cognitive strategies.Discussion: In nursing education, it is necessary to pay special attention to all kinds of learning including attitude, intellectual skills, motor skills and cognitive strategies. Therefore, the nursing instructors and educators are required to become familiar with different kinds of learning and the appropriate teaching method for each of them. In this article, a series of learning strategies together with an appropriate method for its effective realization are presented.
